What Is Focused Awareness MediTation?

Karen teaches a contemporary and research-based meditation program called Focused Awareness Meditation. She trained with Dr. Susan Taylor, Center of Meditation Science and completed her Meditation Specialist Teacher Training.. Karen is Board certified through the National Meditation Specialist Certification Board. She is listed in their national directory, National Meditation Specialists Certification Board.


These classes are designed to introduce you to the practice of meditation in a way that is free of dogma and ritual. Based on hundreds of research studies you can learn simple meditation techniques that will reduce the effects of stress and anxiety on your mind and body. Meditators regularly report decreased physical and psychological symptoms, an increased ability to cope with chronic pain and anxiety, improved self-esteem and resilience.


Classes are designed to meet the needs of the student and includes group, beginner and advanced levels. 1:1 classes are available.


First time meditation students are welcomed! No Experience needed.
